  9. The  OWL  Personal  Portfolio  Manager  offers  a  variety of standard 
  10. reports  which  can  be  tailored  by the user to obtain precisely the 
  11. information  desired.   When  you  select  the reports option from the 
  12. main menu, the following menu of available reports will be displayed.

  31. Using  the  arrow  keys  on  your  keyboard, simply select the desired 
  32. report  from  the  menu  and  press  enter.  All reports may be either 
  33. listed  on  your computer monitor or printed on your system's printer.  
  34. A  menu  is  provided  for  selection  of  either  your screen or your 
  35. printer.
  36.  
  37. With  the  exception  of  the Performance Rankings Report, all reports 
  38. may  be generated for a single portfolio or multiple portfolios in any 
  39. combination.   Portfolios  to  be  included  in  a  given  report  are 
  40. selected  from  the  "SELECT PORTFOLIOS FOR INCLUSION IN REPORT" menu.  
  41. This  menu  differs  from  other  menus  in  that  it  incorporates  a 
  42. capability  of  selecting multiple options.  To include a portfolio in 
  43. your  report use the arrow keys on your keyboard until a portfolio you
  44. wish  to  include  is  blinking.   Press  the return key to select the 
  45. blinking   portfolio  and  the  portfolio  name  will  be  highlighted 
  46. (selected)  and  remain  blinking.   Repeat  this  process  until  all 
  47. portfolios  you  wish  to  include in the report are highlighted.  You 
  48. may  de-select  a previously selected portfolio by pressing the return 
  49. key  when  the selected portfolio is blinking.  Once you are satisfied 
  50. with  your  selections,  press  the  Esc  key  and your report will be 
  51. generated.

  57. SECURITY TRANSACTIONS

  59. In  general,  the  securities transactions option prints a list of all 
  60. securities  in  selected  portfolios  which  you either bought or sold 
  61. during  a time period which you provide.  When you execute this option 
  62. you will be asked to provide the information in Table 9-2.

  80. Entry  of  the  date  range  allows you to obtain reports covering any 
  81. time  period from one day to 100 years.  A default date range has been 
  82. provided  and  will  give  you a report covering all your transactions 
  83. from 1985 through 1999.

  85. The   report   prints   a   summary  of  each  transaction  sorted  in
  86. chronological  order.   The  report  includes the information shown in 
  87. Table 9-3.

  114. In  addition  to  the  above,  a summary is printed listing your total 
  115. cash  received, total cash invested, net cash invested, and total long 
  116. and short term gains or losses for the reporting period.

  119. DIVIDEND INCOME
  120.  
  121. In  general  the  dividend  income  option  prints  a  listing  of all 
  122. dividends  which  you  received  for securities in selected portfolios 
  123. during  a  time period which you choose.  You may select your tax year 
  124. for  your reporting period and receive a listing of dividends received 
  125. which is suitable for use in preparing your tax return.
  126.  
  127. When  you  select  the  dividend  income  reporting option you will be
  128. requested  to  enter  the reporting period and select whether you wish 
  129. the  report  sent to your screen or to your printer.  This information 
  130. is  entered  in  the same way as for the security transactions report.  
  131. Table  9-4  shows  the  information  which is printed.  In addition, a 
  132. summary  is  printed  listing  the total dividends received during the 
  133. reporting period.

  148. PERFORMANCE RANKINGS

  150. The  performance rankings reporting option performs an analysis of all 
  151. securities  in  your  portfolio  data  base  to  determine  the  total 
  152. annualized  yield  of  each  security.   This yield is computed as the 
  153. combined  yield  from price changes and dividends during the reporting 
  154. period.   You  should  note  that dividend information is derived from 
  155. the   indicated  dividend  and  does  not  include  any  extraordinary 
  156. dividends  which  may  have  been  declared  or  received  during  the 
  157. reporting period.

  159. When  you  execute  this  option the system will ask you to supply the 
  160. reporting  period  and  to  select either the screen or the printer as 
  161. the  output  device for the report.  These are entered in the same way 
  162. as  with  other  reports.  Once you have entered this information, the 
  163. report  will be printed listing the information shown in Table 9-5 for 
  164. each security in your portfolio.

  181. number  one  being  the  best performing security during the reporting 
  182. period.

  185. PORTFOLIO SUMMARY

  187. The  portfolio  summary reporting option provides a summary listing of 
  188. your  security  holdings in selected portfolios.  When you select this 
  189. option  you  will  be requested to select either the screen or printer 
  190. as  the  output  device and which portfolios to include in the report.

  213. The  net  worth  reporting  option  provides a summary listing of your 
  214. current   assets   and  liabilities  as  derived  from  your  selected 
  215. securities  and  other  assets/liabilities  portfolios.  The report is 
  216. divided  into  four  sections  which  are  as follows:  assets held as 
  217. securities;  other  assets;  liabilities;  and  summary  of assets and 
  218. liabilities.  The information printed is listed in Table 9-7.
